Warranties
All product warranties are provided by the manufacturers. Order imprinting errors qualify for refund or replacement, unless the error was made by the customer.
Alterations and Cancellation to Existing Promotional Product Orders
We make every effort to accommodate changes without charge whenever possible. However, all charges incurred by Business Specialties to change an order after it has been submitted to a factory will be passed to the customer.
Online Product Pricing
Prices listed on website catalogs are subject to change without notice. We have pricing information from more than a thousand factories on this website. Errors sometimes occur. Occasionally, special sale prices are not shown on the website. Always call to check current prices.
Samples
Product samples are available. Business Specialties shares the cost of samples with customers by splitting the cost of the sample and the shipping cost with the customer (50/50). This amount must be prepaid by the customer.
If the customer places an order for the sampled product or a similar product, the cost of the sample and shipping will be credited to the customer's account.
This does not apply to production samples that are imprinted for the customer, but applies to random samples and/or unimprinted samples.
If the customer does not want to keep the samples, Business Specialties will buy them back for 50% of the customer's cost.
Overruns and Shortages
Factories routinely have overrun/underrun policies of five (5%) to ten (10%) percent of quantity ordered. That means that they may over- or under produce the quantity ordered. Business Specialties is billed according to the exact factory count following order shipment. Those exact costs or credits will be passed on to the customer.
First Time & Out-of-State Orders
All first time and out-of-state orders require prepayment of 50%. Using a credit card — Visa, MasterCard, PayPal — is the best way to quickly expedite an order. A company check or cashier's check is also accepted, though we require funds to have cleared our account before your order is fulfilled. A $50.00 fee will assessed for insufficient funds.
Artwork
Business Specialties provides artwork as an independent contractor under the instruction and direction of clients to provide work-for-hire services. Clients are advised to seek competent legal copyright and trademark advice regarding the proper use of said artwork.
Credit Card Information
Visa, MasterCard and PaPal are accepted. Please do not send credit card numbers or information via unsecured (regular) email. You may call, or fax the information to 815-572-8039. Discover and American Express are handled only through PayPal. All credit card information is kept strictly confidential.
(Here's an easy encryption method for regular email. Put your sensitive information in a Word file, then Zip the file using Zip password encryption, and attach it to the email. In a separate email provide the encryption key (password) so we can open it. Use at your own risk. If you don't understand this, just call.)
Business Accounts
All approved business accounts will be invoiced payable Net 15 days. Late fees will be assessed at a 1.5% finance charge per month against all accounts past due. Customer agrees to pay all collection agency and attorney's fees incurred in the collection of any amount owed thereunder and not paid when due. All account information is kept strictly confidential.
Sales Tax
Business Specialties is required by law to collect sales tax for the State of Ohio (7.5%). Companies, individuals, and organizations outside the State of Ohio placing orders with us are exempt, but should be aware of their own local Use Tax laws. Other tax exempt organizations must provide a tax exempt certificate; fax to 815-572-8039.
Shipping Delays
Business Specialties cannot be held responsible for delivery delays experienced by carriers. Standard shipping parameters are provided by carriers. Average shipping time is 1-2 weeks. Rush order service is available from some factories, but will add to the cost. We always request the factory to produce the order ASAP. If you need the order by a certain date, be sure to tell us.
Privacy
Information that is not available to the public is strictly used for our own internal purposes only. Occasional contact may be made by email, fax, or post office. Submission of information implies agreement.
Ownership of Merchandise
Promotional products become your property when you accept them from the carrier.
